Great collection of fantastic logos. I have a fascination with logos and don’t understand why companies adapt meaningless, boring, or outright ugly ones as the face of their business. This was inspiring.
Wow, great collection. Thanks for compiling. A few of them would really struggle with the transition to lo-fi usage, but wonderful stuff.
I don’t know why, but that Get Wired logo evokes a reaction from me every time I see it. Can’t remember the designer off the top of my head, but very nicely done.
some of these logos are really really good, some just ok.
Some logos are really impressive. Great work!
great logos and real easy on the eyes. loved the fish logo, the peeled, , the seven sparrows and the coffee logo (would look really good on a website or a coffe shop and their coffe mugs) … as you can see I can hardly decide which one’s my favorite.
All in all great share
Yes, some great logo design examples here.
I am actually pissed off that I did not think of some of these, especially the African Film Club and Swing Studio. Brilliant, simply brilliant.
Lovely collection – I do think some are much better than others on the list.
I would like to nominate our logo for future articles:
springnet.co.uk
You guys have really a nice logo and will definitely love to include in a future post
Nice collection – I think, for pure simplicity, I love “Killed Productions” the most. Astonishing minimalism that.
It is a theft from Herb Lubalin
Really great collection! Particularly like the Killed Productions and Evolution X!
very cool & creative!!!
I love these. So creative. Really speak to you. I love great logos.
I am trying to create one for LesterandMe.com. Getting motivated here.
awesome collection of logos! some made me go WOW!
EvolutionX caught my eye. Great one!
I was searching for some good logos for concepts and inspirations for my web, fortunately got the way to your website… I must say this post is damn good for designers.. I am sure to revisit again…!
Some really lovely stuff here. It’s encouraging to know that quality can still be found among all the tat that’s around. Broken Goggles is easily my favourite.
Nice collection! Really creative yet descriptive logos.
It feels like I’m constantly posting comments like this on logo articles and I’d love for someone else to share their thoughts on this issue.
Although these are beautiful pieces of work most, if not all (I haven’t checked) aren’t used in the real world and have been made up from a good idea and not for a purpose. A logo without a purpose is just a clever illustration.
It’s hard to take a brief and come up with a clever idea but it’s a lot easier to doodle, find and idea and create a name to go with it that looks clever. I’d like to see a list of 30 unique designs that have been made for a purpose, I’m sure it’s a lot harder to find real world examples.
I 100% completely agree. I’d like to know how many of these logos are actually real.
Yes, they are just fantasy logos, aren’t they? In my opinion most of them wouldn’t represent their brands very well in an actual marketing communications context.
But in a design student’s portfolio, great stuff.
Oh, and the real logos, made for a purpose – they’re all around you.
YES! Thank you! Finally, somebody acknowledges this! Most of them don’t explain much past the “punny” illustration of the name itself, not what the hypothetical company does. They seem to be from brandstack.com or another similar “stock” logo making site. Agreed that it’s fine for portfolios, shows some cleverness but says little about a designers ability to work around a challenge like a real design brief. I find the most boring or long company names are the most challenging to design a logo for though.
I love the ‘pause’ one. How clever! Thanks for the list!
LogoPond for the win!
Some really fantastic logo designs there. The first two are my favourite.
Very cool! aesthetically pleasing and instantly convey the message
Nice list. I think the Diamond Bookstore and the 83 studios are my faves.
Some are definitely more clever then others, and some might have trouble with scalability and b/w vs. color, but they are all definitely creative.
six pixels of separation? i don’t get it..
all other logos are brilliant
Some of the examples on that page don’t deserve inclusion at all. Kinda ruins the WHOLE THING! Ok, not all bad, some clever, but that’s what logoistas do, no?
African Film Club: Africa made up of film strips. Wow! What a novel concept!
Denshu Sushi: Name with a well-drawn image of sushi above it. New and unusual?
Get Wired: A cup made of wire. Um, OK, why a cup?
Seven Sparrow: Text with sparrows added. Yes. That is true.
Six Pixels: Some curved shapes. In 6 colors! No! Unpossible!
83 Studios: Get it? An 8 and a 3 combined! Never wudda guessed!
Subber: Sorry, I don’t get this one at all. Text above. A funny little submarine below. In the shape of a ???
I admit, I do like the Loch Ness one.
You don’t understand the Get Wired logo? What, do you only drink decaf or something??
Ditto- Its a cup because it is (obviously) for a coffee house/cafe.
Awesome Collection. I liked “GetWired” the best. The reason is designer really gave serious thought about how wire and coffee goes together
Very Clever!
This is a great collection, I actually hadn’t seen many before! Pause, Lab Rat, lochness, and Cloud Corner are my favorites.
ta chido
Like all of them!
Maybe LabRat is too detailed…
LabRat is great; just too geeky and lab-centric.
very cool set
thnx
Very refreshing. I’ve seen this kind of list before but most of these were new… and delightful
Very good logos. Thanks for them all. I’ve made it a point to bookmark this one.
wow . really impressive logos. Didnt know logos could say so much . great .
I love logos like this simple but still complex. Gave me some good ideas for making a new logo for my company.
We are really feeling these logos. Very imaginative and well-designed.
Very cool designs! Each one makes you think, but I love design like that. It has a lot more meaning that some “stock art” logo. Great article!
“Killed” is the best among all. Execution of “PEELED” is good but the idea is a commoners one.
It’s a pity the a is befor the e in the talkmore logo. As a result the inverted commas are back to front. Which is a shame.
If you like logos, I recommend logo by Michael Evamy (publ. Laurence King Publishing) Lots of logos to drool over.
Neat ideas! A great logo is impressive on a business card, letter head and on a marquee board etc. That means—it should look good on anything!
These deserve a standing ovation! Salute!!!
Awesomenessss !!!
Amazing logos!!
Coffee Cup really looks like Il Barista in Brazil – http://www.ilbarista.com.br/
not sure who came first tho
This is a great collection, some really inspiration stuff, loving the killed production one. awesome!
Superb!!!
These are definitely impressive. The ideas are simple and clearly communicate a message to almost anyone looking at them. Which is what a good logo should do. And remember, that all of these great logos are accompanied by equally clever names. Some names just lend themselves to literal logo translations, while many do not. I’d love to know how many of these are being used in the real world and how many are just the work of a designer’s imagination. Great job nonetheless!
Two or three good ones. Designers are too impressed with themselves to be sufficiently self-critical. Personally, I suck.
It reminds me of my days at Sir J.J .Institute of Applied Arts.
This is one exercise which all typo students do!
All are breath taking….amazing yaar..
what do you think of our logo here:
watchyourheadproductions.com

I think all of them are great, some more though.
